UNCG Faculty and Graduate Student Research Activities

We are conducting research on the campus wetlands biodiversity and water quality.

Camera traps and audio equipment are permanently installed near the wetlands so monitor wildlife activity.

Aaron Wagoner, a UNCG undergraduate won second prize for his poster on camera trap analysis at the 2017 North Carolina Academy of Sciences conference.

You can see Ph.D. candidate Kristina Morales talk about camera traps and audio recordings here.

Kristina Morales’s Ph.D. research is focusing on Mercury Cycling in Restored Urban Wetlands.
